摘要: More than 2 billion people rely on solid fuels and traditional stoves or open fires for cooking, lighting, and/or heating. Exposure to emissions caused by burning these is believed be responsible a significant share of the global burden disease. To achieve widespread health improvements, interventions that reduce exposures indoor air pollution will need adopted consistently used large numbers households in developing world. Given such remain households, much remains learned about household demand designed (in part at least) pollution. A general framework developed identifies detail determinants interventions, where an intervention expressed terms willingness pay. Household shown combination three terms: (1) direct consumption effect; (2) child (3) adult effect. While micro-level data are not available estimate directly this model, existing information just effects component demand. Based information, it might concluded should seemingly strong given pay, based compared costs common like improved stoves. analysis shows more clearly focused research needed if going demanded (i.e. used) throughout Four priority areas future are: improving dose-response relationships between various (e.g. increased mortality morbidity risks); impacts from reductions also cooking times, fuel use, heat intensities; shadow values health, with separate health; (4) considering its adequacy, their ability evaluate use health.
