UV-shielding properties of zinc oxide-doped ceria fine powders derived via soft solution chemical routes

摘要: Abstract Nanoparticles of zinc oxide-doped ceria (3–7 nm diameter) were synthesized by soft solution chemical processes at 40 °C and pH 6. Some ions remained in the but cerium precipitated completely The solubility limit ZnO Ce 1− x Zn O 2− was determined to be =0.561. oxidation catalytic activity effectively decreased doping with oxide. photocatalytic undoped for phenol much smaller than that titania. Zinc showed excellent UV absorption transparency visible ray region a similar manner as ceria.
