摘要: During the 1990s, human rights had become a primary organizing principle and/or rhetorical strategy employed by range of different actors who engage with women's health issues from strikingly varied positions. Virtually every right has consequences when it is violated. A mere listing few codified in international law makes this immediately apparent: to food, housing, care, be free torture. It takes little imagination spin out that might attend violation each these rights. Sometimes connection requires bit more elaboration. For example, there are studies showing how violations freedom speech and information implicated famines—with obvious ghastly implications for population's health.
