摘要: Abstract The photocatalytic degradation of the prevalent colourful food additive, Food Yellow 13 (FY13), was examined in TiO 2 and ZnO aqueous suspensions under solar irradiation. Series physicochemical properties applied photocatalysts determined. As a benchmark influence natural conditions, studies were performed river water. Goldapa river, located ‘The Green Lungs Poland’, chosen for investigations. initial dye concentration, photocatalyst loading, pH buffer addition studied. FY13 decolourization during its irradiation monitored spectrophotometrically, while Raman TGA techniques to study adsorption on surface ZnO. Photodegradation intermediates detected decomposition pathway proposed basis LC/ESI–MS/MS measurements. Application both led complete FY13, which accompanied by visual decoulorization. final metabolite identified as pyridinecarboxaldehyde. Eventually, found be 1.8 9.6 times more efficient then photocatalysis process water suspensions, respectively.
