摘要: A large extent of brackishwater resources is yet to be used for aquaculture as the present development stands at only 13% in India. But, growing environmental concerns and crop failures have made site selection a mandatory requirement cage aquaculture. The case study carried out Muttukadu Lagoon, India, has 13 factors assess suitability, including physical characteristics conditions. Spatial analysis integrated most influencing variables such depth, turbidity, salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, total ammonia nitrogen using suitability scores its comparative rank. TAN were acceptable range throughout year. Concerning 12–52%, 30–91%, 84–91% lagoon found suitable different seasons. Overall, 11% region was fit Water depth major limiting factor selection. From study, crucial management measures are outlined successful fish culture maintain lagoon's health. This will serve model make use brackish-water regions support coastal population's livelihoods.
