摘要: Academic-industry relationships in the life sciences remain controversial. The available evidence suggests that such have both benefits and risks for involved parties. Benefits include additional support of academic research, income health centers, potential increased scientific commercial productivity industries universities, enhancement educational experiences students fellows. Risks an increase secrecy environments damage to public science enterprise. balance known academic-industry should be permitted even selectively promoted. However, there is also a need enhanced vigilance on part institutions government reduce posed by certain types arrangements, especially those involving human subjects. Enhanced disclosure all faculty. (JAMA. 1992;268:3344-3349)
