摘要: The production of surfactant is a key step in fetal lung development. Surfactant decreases alveolar surface tension, thereby preventing collapse and allowing efficient gas exchange. lack adequate amounts results respiratory distress syndrome. Tests that assess concentrations amniotic fluid are good predictors infants will not develop most frequently used test to maturity (TDx FLM II) be available after December 2011. Therefore, we review the currently tests for including lecithin:sphingomyelin ratio, phosphatidyl glycerol, surfactant:albumin ratio lamellar body counts. Herein, discuss their clinical utility consider suitable replacement future.
