Spatial and temporal fluctuations of the abundance of Neotropical cave-dwelling moth Hypena sp. (Noctuidae, Lepidoptera) influenced by temperature and humidity

摘要: The present study evaluated the seasonal variation of a population Hypena sp. in Gruta Taboa (Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais, Brazil), relation to changes temperature and humidity during dry (July 1999 July 2000) rainy (January 2000 January 2001) seasons. responded external seasonality, being distributed closer cave entrance season, which fluctuated around 21 °C 85%, respectively. During season abundance was higher sections farther from (deeper sections) (19.2 80% humidity). results showed that this species is influenced by environmental factors, even tropical region where climate fluctuations are lower compared temperate regions.
