摘要: The coordination behaviour of the Schiff-base, benzil bis(benzoylhydrazone), LH2 towards divalent nickel, lead, cadmium, zinc and copper ions has been investigated. complexes have fully characterized by techniques including 113Cd 207Pb NMR, as well 13C CP/MAS NMR single crystal X-ray diffraction. All general formula [ML]n (n = 1–3 depending on metal ion), with ligand doubly deprotonated. nickel complex [NiL] 1 is a monomeric compound, lead [PbL]22 shows binuclear structure, whereas [ZnL]34 [CuL]35 are trinuclear helicates. cadmium 3 seems to be dimer structure similar that 2. In 2 derivatives, behaves tetradentate N2O2 chelate in also bridge through one O atoms. structures Zn 4 Cu 5 [ML]3 each pentadentate N3O2 environment formed two different ligands, tridentate other bidentate chelate, giving rise These results point out versatility bis(benzoylhydrazone) its coordination.
