摘要: The limited radius of investigation petrophysical measurements made in boreholes and the relatively large distances between wells result an incomplete sensing subsurface through well logging. CORRELATOR is a program for estimating geological properties logged boreholes. An initial fundamental step lithostratigraphic correlation logs different wells. method employed by closely emulates process visual inspection used experienced geologists manual correlation. Mathematically, determination lithostratigraphical equivalence based on simultaneous assessment similarity shale content, patterns vertical variation property that measured with high resolution, spatial consistency stratigraphic relationships as determined expert system. Multiple additional options processing log readings allow maximization extraction information from pairs per great flexibility final display results form cross sections dip diagrams.
