摘要: BACKGROUND This study compares the anatomic and functional outcomes of primary powered endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) in surgeons differing levels experience. METHODS A retrospective interventional was performed all consecutive DCRs at a tertiary institution over period 10 years from 2002 to 2012. All patients completed minimum 3 months follow-up after stent removal. Patient records were reviewed for demographic data, clinical surgical profiles, adjunctive procedures, complications, success rates last follow-up. The level surgeon's experience performing DCR also documented. Anatomic defined as patent ostium on irrigation free flow dye into test resolution epiphora. RESULTS Among 160 by consultant, except four underwent intubation; 54.4% (68/125) these required procedures. There no major complications this group long-term mean 14.2 months, 98.1 95.6%, respectively. 100 fellows, intubation 40.8% (29/71) include three cases granulomas two each with postoperative bleeding, prolapse, turbinoseptal synechiae. At 10.9 final achieved 95% 89% cases. CONCLUSION Powered is an effective procedure offers excellent results hands experienced surgeons. good transfer knowledge skills along supervision when ensures rate, even training fellows operate.
