摘要: Abstract The production of oil from microalgae is a process with long way to go before reaching commercial viability. High costs associated harvesting and solvent extraction make it difficult compete fossil fuel. in-situ, non-destructive, repetitive lipids Botryococcus braunii (milking) offers an alternative the conventional microalgal-oil process, significantly reduced nutrient, dewatering cultivation costs. Here, we compare low shear column high stirred tank ascertain which better suited using B. carry out preliminary economic analysis on nutrient raceway pond area requirements once scaled industrial production. Stirred heptane resulted in five times higher productivities than that extraction. Using this generate model found lipid productivity 104 mg L-1 day-1 was possible, six greater previous studies. Thanks content biomass generated recovery phase, when open ponds, 13.4 g m-2 day-1 can be predicted. With productivity, estimated combined carbon, nitrogen phosphorus cost $2.52 L-1 produced 3.53 km2 (assuming annual 15,900 m3 year-1) predicted, corresponding reductions compared 40% 50% respectively. This provides method for 3rd generation biofuels without need harvest dewater algal significant requirements.
