摘要: Abstract Introduction and objectives Obesity is a major cardiovascular risk factor. In Spain, few studies have physically measured height weight to estimate the magnitude of problem. The aim this study was determine prevalence child adolescent obesity in Spain 2012. Methods We performed cross-sectional probability sample 1018 children, representative Spanish population aged between 8 17 years old, with objectively weight, along other sociodemographic variables. calculated overweight according criteria World Health Organization, International Task Force, enKid study. Results group 26% 12.6%, respectively; 4 10 young people were or obese. Excess found 45% 13 25.5% that 14 to 17 years. This factor associated lower social class educational level. Conclusions children adolescents remains high (close 40%), but has not increased last 12 years.
