摘要: Abstract The laser diffraction method (LDM) is a relatively new technique that increasingly used in measurements of the particle size distribution (PSD) soil and sediments. It has significant advantages (high precision, simple rapid measurement) but PSDs obtained by LDM often differ from those with previously sieve-sedimentation methods (SSMs). main factors influencing use (among others: pretreatment, construction device settings operator, specificity material, problem fulfilling assumptions method) are presented comparability SSM. New areas investigations using also discussed. work concludes set postulates should be taken into account to standardize increase results, not only SSMs other laboratories, including diffractometers deriving producers.
