摘要: The proliferation of hotspots based on IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs brings the promise seamless Internet access from a large number public locations. However, as users soars, so does risk possible misbehavior; to protect themselves, ISPs already make use security mechanisms, and require mobile stations authenticate themselves at Access Points (APs). works properly only if also respect MAC protocol. We show in this paper that greedy user can substantially increase his share bandwidth, expense other users, by slightly modifying driver network adapter. explain how easily be performed, particular with new generation adapters. then present DOMINO (System for Detection Of behavior layer NetwOrks), piece software installed Point. detect identify stations, without requiring any modification standard protocol AP revealing its own presence. illustrate these concepts simulation results description our prototype.
