摘要: Background: Rates of newly acquired HIV infection are increasing in Australia, and sexual contact between men accounts for 85% cases. Objective: To investigate behavioural risk factors seroconversion among gay bisexual from Sydney Melbourne, Australia. Methods: 103 with were recruited clinics Melbourne factor questionnaires administered January 2003 October 2004. Results compared a cross sectional cohort study performed by our group that enrolled similar populations men. Results: The majority seroconverters (73%) reported more than five partners the last six months. Ninety-five (92%) able to identify high-risk event (HRE) they thought had led their seroconversion. Most (70%) receptive unprotected anal intercourse (UAI), insertive UAI, or both at HRE. Sixteen (16%) no UAI preceding months including Men likely report HRE when perceived partner be HIV-negative as HIV-positive (P = 0.05). Injection drug use was 22% previous months, 62% intoxication alcohol (≥5 drinks) mood altering recreational Conclusions: Gay who have recently seroconverted highly sexually active high rates
