摘要: High-performance blend of polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC) has not been explored. The difficulty is caused by the big differences in melt viscosity (PP: low vs. PC: high viscosity) polarity nonpolar polar). We put forth a new approach using reactive plasticizer which preferentially soluble with PC polymerizable organic peroxide. As plasticizer, diallyl phthalate triallyl cyanurate (TAC) were used. By extrusion PP/PC/plasticizer/dicumyl peroxide (e.g., 80/14/6/0.12 wt. ratio), reaction-induced phase decomposition took place dispersed particles to develop regularly phase-separated nanostructure graft copolymer PP polymerized was situ generated at interface. extruded showed an excellent ductile behavior about 500%-elongation break. TAC very effective elevate heat resistance. Then, super-ductile PP/PC resistance successfully developed. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Sci., 2013
