The Europeanisation of Social Integration in the Eurozone Crisis: A Conceptual Framework

摘要: The recent sovereign debt crisis in Europe increases not only the demands for, but also actual practices of, social integration Europe. This article proposes a conceptual framework for analysis of contested emergence transnational bonds emphasises role European institutions and policies besides individual perceptions. In neo-Simmelian, conflict-theoretical perspective, it distinguishes regulatory, redistributive, relational cognitive dimensions illustrates this by discussion four fields Particularly important are EU employment policy (regulation), measures economic reforms course (redistribution), cross-border mobility citizens (relations), their perceptions solidarity inequality (reference groups). These “pillars” based on different mechanisms that address sources integration: Procedural justice mutual learning, respect mutually agreed rules, trust-based direct interactions experiences, wider frame. may open way translating conflicts divergent orientations between nationally embedded actors into ‘divisible’ allow compromises hence sustainable order.
