摘要: Dissecting aneurysm of the basilar artery is a rare but increasingly recognized entity, with frequently fatal or morbid outcome. Unlike well established proximal occlusion and trapping approaches to vertebral dissections, surgical intervention for lesions has been limited wrapping techniques arterial wall reinforcement. We report case midbasilar dissecting successfully treated by clipping below level anterior inferior cerebellar arteries, allowing retrograde flow via posterior communicating arteries provide continued perfusion. With growing recognition dissection pseudoaneurysm formation there need improved therapeutic options. suggest that definitive treatment can be achieved using principle reversal, review pertinent literature on dissection.
