摘要: Abstract 1. Photophosphorylation by swiss-chard chloroplasts was rapidly inactivated preincubation of the reaction mixture in light. 50% inactivation observed after 90 sec exposure to 160, 000 lux. 2. The presence phenazine methosulfate during light period largely prevented inactivation. 3. under a nitrogen atmosphere, when carried out red light, with or chloroplast fragments but not dark. 4. quantitative requirements for and phenazine-methosulfate following periods were found similar those photophosphorylative proper. 5. No bleaching chlorophyll could be period. Addition non-light-pretreated pretreated ones did restore their abilities. 6. It is suggested that ligh result destructive normally produced early products photophosphorylation.
