摘要: We present stellar velocity dispersion measurements in the host galaxies of ten luminous quasars (MV < –23) using Ca H&K lines off-nuclear spectra. combine these data with effective radii and magnitudes from literature to place on fundamental plane (FP) where their properties are compared other types galaxies. find that radio-loud (RL) QSO hosts have similar massive elliptical galaxies, while radio-quiet (RQ) more intermediate-mass The RL lie at upper extreme FP due large dispersions (σ* = 321 km s–1), low surface brightness (μ e (r) 20.8 mag arcsec–2), (Re 11.4 kpc), M * 1.5 × 1012 ☉ M/L 12.4. In contrast, RQ σ* 241 s–1, 4.4 1011 ☉, ~ 5.3. distinction between occurs σ*~ 300 Re 6 kpc, corresponding 5.9 ± 3.5 ☉. Previous authors drawn conclusions by estimates black hole mass inferring that, here we relied purely directly measured properties.
