摘要: A new thermophilic sulfate-reducing bacterium isolated from the high-temperature White Tiger oil field (Vietnam) is described. Cells of are oval (0.4–0.6 by 0.6–1.8 μm), nonmotile, non-spore-forming, and gram-negative. Growth occurs at 45 to 65°C (with an optimum 60°C) NaCl concentrations 0 50 g/l. In course sulfate reduction, organism can utilize lactate, pyruvate, malate, fumarate, ethanol, salts fatty acids (formate, acetate, propionate, butyrate, caproate, palmitate), yeast extract, alanine, serine, cysteine, H2+ CO2(autotrophically). addition sulfate, use sulfite, thiosulfate, elemental sulfur as electron acceptors. absence acceptors, ferment pyruvate extract (a yet unrecognized capacity reducers) with formation acetate H2. The G+C content DNA 60.8 mol %. level DNA–DNA hybridization isolate (strain 101T) Desulfacinum infernum(strain BαG1T) low 34%. Analysis nucleotide sequence 16S rDNA places strain 101Tin phylogenetic cluster Desulfacinumspecies within reducer subdivision delta subclass Proteobacteria. All these results allowed studied be described a species, subterraneumsp. nov., 101 type strain.
