摘要: The negotiations round of the Gatt/WTO system have encouraged their participants to reduce tariffs on international trade. To satisfy internal lobbies without breaking those rounds' rules, lots governments began exert protectionism by non-tariff barriers. One most polemicals cases, recently ocurred, was imposition steel import quotas US government. Because is biggest importer steel, it expected that impacts act will be very large. objective this work just evaluate these impacts. For reason, we use an Applied General Equilibrium Model, GTAP. We run a simulation putting in model, focusing Bush's act. results show benefit countries which are same trade blocs than USA.
