摘要: Several recent studies suggest that autism may result from abnormal communication between brain regions. We directly assessed this hypothesis by testing the presence of abnormalities in a model functional cerebral network engaged during explicit emotion processing adults with high functioning or Asperger syndrome. Comparison structural equation models revealed patterns effective connectivity, prefrontal cortex as key site dysfunction. These findings provide evidence long-range connectivity structures ‘social brain’ could explain socioemotional troubles characterize autistic pathology.
