摘要: Abstract In two separate experiments subjects read a standardized description of crime negligent automobile homicide. both Experiments I and II, the victim was presented to approximately one-half as an unattractive person (Unattractive Victim condition) other half attractive (Attractive condition). Experiment II character defendant also varied: he described some person, others “neutral” person. The actual circumstances were, course, identical for all subjects. were requested sentence specific number years imprisonment according their own personal judgment. As predicted, results showed that in Attractive conditions tended greater than Unattractive conditions. Defendant condition sentenced more severely either or Neutral
