Surface acoustic waves in two-dimensional periodic elastic structures

摘要: Acoustic waves localized at the surface of two-dimensional (2D) periodic elastic structures, or 2D phononic crystals, are studied theoretically by taking account anisotropy constituent materials. The considered is perpendicular to axis a array cylinders embedded in background material. dispersion relations modes calculated for circular AlAs which form square lattice GaAs matrix. folding and wave branches, as well existence pseudosurface waves, found. stop band distributions surface, pseudosurface, bulk plotted relevant comparison with ultrasound imaging experiments.
