A rare association: acute pancreatitis caused by the influenzavirus A with secondary appendicitis in a six-year-old girl.

摘要: Acute pancreatitis (AP) is the most frequent pancreatic disorder in children and abdominal ultrasound (AUS) very helpful clinical management. Even though several agents have been implicated etiology of AP, influenza virus A (IVA) exceptional. We report case a 6-year-old girl who presented with generalized pain flu-like symptoms. Blood tests AUS revealed typical findings AP nasopharyngeal aspirate was positive for IVA. Twenty-four hours later, patient developed signs acute appendicitis, which also confirmed by AUS. This highlights importance management conditions children, including reactive entities such as well need to consider IVA potential causal agent AP.
