摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect ball size on reaction time (from projection initial racket movement), movement ball-racket impact), mean rectified acceleration and vibration frequency during impact phase (100 ms duration after impact) tennis volley. Twenty-nine beginning intermediate level players performed volleys under 18 experimental conditions including variations in lateral contact location (forehand backhand), type (Penn oversize, Wilson regular size), speed (fast, medium, slow). A machine shielded so that subjects could not predict trajectory before it released from machine. Outcome measures were determined using a miniature uni-axial accelerometer Photogate timing device.
