摘要: We analyze the transverse stability for a configuration of multiple gaussian bunches subject to self-generated plasma wakefield. Through semi-analytical approach we first study equilibrium modulated beam and then investigate evolution due emittance-driven expansion front that results in rigid backward shift. The rear-directed shift brings out equilibrium, with possibility some bunch particles be lost consequent deterioration driver. look therefore proper position single maximize without severely affecting accelerating field behind compare 3D PIC simulations.
