摘要: [1] Recently, two shallow MW 6.6 inland earthquakes, the 2004 mid-Niigata prefecture earthquake and 2007 Niigataken Chuetsu-oki earthquake, occurred in Niigata sedimentary basin near boundary between Eurasian North American Plates. In order to elucidate geographic distribution of 3He/4He ratios around seismic source regions, new helium isotope data from hot spring gases water samples much denser sampling than previous studies were determined. Although temporal changes obtained each well unknown before after higher observed regions compared other regions. Geochemical evidence for presence natural with anomalously high (>3.8 RA) indicates infiltration mantle fluids derived subcrustal lithosphere. A plausible can be attributed upward mobilization aqueous generated by dehydration subducting Pacific Plate slab, resulting acquisition primordial a wedge as into crust. addition, may raise Earth's surface along permeable conduits leading reactivation high-angle inverted normal faults triggering recent earthquakes.
