摘要: This critical race qualitative research study examines the perspectives of Chicanas\os regarding their educational experiences. Critical theory in education has been effort to bring a deeper understanding racism that is experienced American schools by and other children color. intersectionality education; Chicana\o social, political historical experiences; racism. informed theoretical frames from disciplines theory, Latino implications, new racism, Chicana/o authentic caring, pedagogy. These theories expose inequality injustice adhere schools, they help me understand students, parents communities are constructors knowledge facilitators transformation. The triangulates data through two components: interviews an archival evaluation academic impact Social Justice Education Project its Critically Compassionate Intellectualism (CCI) model transformative education. interview component consists one open-ended focus group interview. In segment, I evaluate informal student interviews, end year progress reports, post-program surveys, achievement graduation data. indicate remains key variable within experiences students SUSD schools.
