Tunable microwave absorption in CoAl substituted M-type BaSr hexagonal ferrite

摘要: Abstract M-type hexagonal ferrites with chemical composition Ba 0.5 Sr Co x Al Fe 12-2x O 19 (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0) have been synthesized using a standard ceramic method. The electromagnetic or microwave parameters measured in the frequency range of 8.2 to 12.4 GHz vector network analyzer. absorption reflection loss (RL) different compositions has evaluated comprehensively as function frequency, thickness substitution 2 + 3 + ions. dependence absorption, accompanied by observed RL peaks compositions, is governed quarter wavelength and/or impedance matching mechanisms. It was that x = 0.2 possesses highest peak − 40.4 − 39.7 dB at 11.72 10.63 GHz 1.4 1.5 mm respectively. also exhibits − 10 dB wideband bandwidth 3.27 GHz − 20 dB 1.09 GHz 1.4 mm. Composition x = 1.0 owes narrowband 170 MHz 1.7 mm. can be tuned varying large suggests could potential candidate for absorbing materials.
