摘要: This chapter provides an overview of the bacterial adhesins that promote colonization human urinary tract. Particular attention is addressed to adherence properties may contribute symptomatic tract infection (UTI) in patients with underlying defects including catheterization. Recent progress regarding bacteria associated acute community-acquired UTI also reviewed. Unlike other discussed chapter, type 1 pili are present most Escherichia coli and members family Enterobacteriaceae. However, Donovan study, many more people experienced bowel Klebsiella pneumoniae than UTI, so net benefit prophylaxis eliminate K. from all would have been marginal. As investigators move closer understanding structural requirements for recognition binding tissue assembly functional organelles, rational design novel antiadherence or antiassembly agents will become possible. Little known about mechanisms Enterococcus faecalis, although it primary secondary cause certain patient groups. P appear be a risk factor progression kidney urosepsis. The effectiveness test strain preventing subsequent disease under investigation.
