摘要: Abstract Twenty-two health functional legumes and industrial crops contain several phytochemicals extracts which have potential use as medicinal plants or foods in the United States other countries worldwide. The objective of this study was to present a review legume species Department Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plant Genetic Resources Conservation Unit’s (PGRCU) collection for non-traditional human veterinary plants. Specific from various plant organs will be identified discussed these crops. Potential phyto-pharmaceuticals including flavonoids, glycosides, phenolics, cliotides, steroids, saponin butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea L.) flowers, seed coats, roots; saponin, anthro-quinones, terpinoids, phlabotanin Indigofera cassioides Rottler ex DC. leaves; dequelin, dehydrodeguelin, rotenol, rotenone, tephrosin, sumatrol hyacinth bean [Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet] seeds L-dopa velvetbean (Mucuna pruriens Sesbania bispinosa (Jacq.) W. Wight seeds; pachyerosin jicama (Pachyrhizus erosus Urb. vitexin blue wiss [Teramnus labialis (L.f.) Spreng] aerial parts flavonol glycoside stems; caffeic, ferulic, cinnamic acids, kaempferol mothbean (Vigna aconitifolia Marechal sprouts; 7S globulins mungbean (V. radiata R. These been shown multiple uses antifungal, antibacterial, anti-asthmatic, anti-tuberculosis, anti-malaria, Parkinson’s disease management, anti-cancer, antioxidant, oxidative stress reduction, cholesterol anti-Leishmania amazonensi, anti-breast cancer, anti-inflammatory, skin inhibition, reducing blood pressure, immunostimulation, myocardial ischemia protection, anthelmintic, improve eye surface protection dry symptoms, preventing oral bacteria kidney damage. could provide food industries with valuable products can used by scientist’s breeders development unique germplasm and/or advanced cultivars one more traits. Furthermore, many Unit need evaluated identification, quantification, variability potentially very traits are currently unknown.
