摘要: Abstract Objective Characterize the microstructure, composition and some physical properties of a glass-infiltrated alumina/zirconia-reinforced ceramic (IZ) effect surface treatment on topography. Methods IZ specimens were fabricated according to ISO6872 instructions polished through 1 μm alumina abrasive. Quantitative qualitative analyses performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), backscattered imaging (BSI), dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) stereology. The elastic modulus (E) Poisson's ratio (ν) determined ultrasonic waves, density (ρ) helium pycnometer. following treatments used: AP-as-polished; HF-etching with 9.5% hydrofluoric acid for 90 s; SB-sandblasting 25 μm aluminum oxide particles 15 s SC-blasting 30 μm modified by silica (silica coating) 15 s. An optical profilometer was used examine roughness (Ra) SEM–EDS measure amount after all treatments. Results mean property values as follows: ρ = 4.45 ± 0.01 g/cm3; ν = 0.26 E = 245 GPa. Mean Ra similar AP- HF-treated but significantly increased either SC or SB (p ≤ 0.05). concentration Si(K) 76% treatment. Significance HF is an inadequate bonding resins ceramic. Treating produced greater showed significant increase in silica, which may enhance resin via silane coupling.
