摘要: Spectroscopic characterization of both untreated and treated material is being performed in order to determine changes the biomass effects pretreatment on crystallinity, lignin content, selected chemical bonds, depolymerization hemicellulose lignin. The methods used are X-ray diffraction for determination cellulose crystallinity (CrI); diffusive reflectance infrared (DRIFT) C-C C-O bonds; fluorescence content. Changes spectral characteristics statistically correlated with enzymatic hydrolysis results identify better understand fundamental features that govern its conversion monomeric sugars. Models initial rate 72 h extent were developed evaluated. Results show most influenced by while content influences at h. However, it should be noted this study only lignin, bonds as inputs models. incorporation additional parameters affect hydrolysis, like pore volume size surface area accessibility, would improve predictive capability
