摘要: Lead exposure has primarily been a concern during development in young children and little attention paid to outcomes as these age, or even exposures adulthood. Childhood have long term consequences, adults who exposed lead show host of cognitive deficits. also shown induce latent changes the aging brain, implicated pathogenesis neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's. Recent research that ability alter DNA methylation, histone modifications, miRNA expression experimental models, humans. These findings implicate epigenetics induced toxicity, individuals. Epigenetic modification could potentially provide us mechanism by which environment, toxic contribute increased susceptibility adult disease.
