摘要: Abstract In the Bist Doab tract of Punjab, occurrence ground water is controlled by geological and geomorphological features. this study an attempt has been made to analyse different landforms features evaluate their potential. The units identified include linear ridge, structural hills, alluvial fans, piedmont plain, sand dunes, flood seasonal rivulets braided river channels. palaeochannels, ox-bows meander scars have prominent shallow aquifers good quality with excellent yield. low lying plain cropped extensively due more moisture and/or aquifers. Flood plains are potential sites for artificial recharge. Tapping off can be easy cheap. run-off recharge zones from satellite data.
