摘要: Studies in which noninfected persons shared households with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected family members and friends, had substantial though non-sexual contact them revealed no transmissions of the HIV virus. These results suggest a similar low risk for healthcare workers, particularly those who have little or blood. However, occupational transmission HIV, when it does occur, is most commonly caused by needlestick injuries. Nurses make up largest group--nearly 80%--of hospital workers contract infection on job. Generally, ratio following an 1 250. Improper needle disposal, recapping other ingrained behavior patterns are typical causes accidents. Though focus today HIV/acquired syndrome (AIDS), important to realize that hepatitis B accounts 200 300 deaths year among workers. Awareness injuries, considerable financial emotional costs they can impose, should justify preliminary expenditures prevention programs.
