摘要: Highly accurate multi-angle polarimeters are essential for taking the next step in global characterization of atmospheric aerosol. Spectral polarization modulation enables highly snapshot polarimetry and is very suitable ground-, air- space-based instrumentation. In this paper we present two instruments that employ technology, SPEX prototype groundSPEX. We have performed ground-based measurements at CESAR Observatory Netherlands with these instruments. compare measured degree linear co-located measurements, which show an rms difference 0.005. Aerosol microphysical properties been retrieved from agree well similar retrievals AERONET measurements. Finally, discuss current efforts to upgrade autonomous instrument flying on NASA’s ER-2 high altitude aircraft.
