摘要: The developing fetus begins to swallow amniotic fluid (AF) early in gestation, a process that results ingestion of numerous growth factors. Our objectives were 2-fold: 1) assess the concentration and distribution insulin-like factor II (IGF II) its binding proteins (BP) 1 3 2nd trimester using ELISA, 2) establish whether concentrations AF IGF BP1 3, measured pregnancy, associated with predictive infant birth weight. Birth weights categorized recently developed birth-weight-for-gestational-age percentiles for fetal which infants 90% as LGA (large-for-gestational-age). samples collected after routine genetic testing (15.1 ± 0.04 wk, range 12-20 wk) from 543 mother-infant pairs Montreal, QC, Canada. Maternal characteristics obtained questionnaires medical chart review. Multivariate regression analysis controlled maternal height, prepregnancy weight, smoking behavior, gender, gestational age, parity, well amniocentesis week showed higher was lower weight (partial r 2 = 0.0062). Regression analyses revealed BP3 positively within macrosomia subpopulations 0.0283 0.0404, respectively). These show BP1, BP3, may emerge indicators growth.
