摘要: Introduction: The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence dural tail sign (DTS) in meningiomas, glioblastomas multiforme, metastasis, pituitary macro-adenomas, acoustic neuromas, medulloblastomas, lymphomas and Wegener’s granulomatosis, reveal if DTS specifi c for meningiomas. Methods: In retrospective, cross sectional 96 patients were included with 95 intracranial 1 extracranial lesions. was conducted period from January 2008 May 2010 group pattern made consecutively. underwent surgery all lesions examined by histopathology analysis. analysed on contrast T1- weighted spin echo images after injection 0.1 mmol/kg gadolinium medium. presence defi ned using Goldsher et al’s criteria. Results: Histopathology results revealed of: 35 25 13 10 adenomas, 5 4 3 granulomatosis. On contrast-enhanced T1 MR images, noted 31 (32.3%) lesions, following histological samples: meningioma, GBM, adenoma, schwannoma, medulloblastoma while cases metastasis not noted. We found have a sensitivity 68.6% city 88.5% diagnosis meningioma. Conclusion: common but pathognomic meningioma images. Other such as glioblastoma granulomatosis may also be represented sign. © 2011 All rights reserved
