摘要: Generalizing, it can be said that the pathologic cells seen in smears of bone marrow multiple myeloma resemble plasma cell and vary from very anaplastic immature to well-differentiated almost characteristic cell. The feature which "myeloma" shares with is abundant, granular, basophilic cytoplasm tends fragile undergo same degenerative changes each; namely, formation Russell bodies vacuolization. Fairly frequently a perinuclear clear area or Hof present nucleus eccentrically placed. Cytoplasmic extensions pseudopodia may also either case, but they occur more often dramatically instances myeloma. Multinucleated are commonly seen. In addition, myeloma-plasma will have large nucleolus leptochromatic exhibit tendency isolated areas condensed chromatin. extrusions, free cytoplasmic bodies, occasionally complete vacuoles universally present. All cases were type; there was no exception. In these cases, constituted 2.5 96 per cent leukocytic elements present. The opinion expressed all so-called types merely variations differentiation this cell. It noted anaplasia, hypernucleation lack predominance certain diagnostic pitfalls. Additional evidence adduced confirm reticulo-endothelial origin cell. It further observed prognostically valuable information could gleaned careful review cytologic characteristics cases.
