摘要: Quantitative analysis is a major factor controlling landform development in tectonically active regions, and it has significantly affected fluvial systems mountain-front landscapes the Jarahi-Hendijan basin area of Zagros, southwest Iran. The located along high Zagros simple folded belt coastal plain. It an outcome SE-NW oriented tectonic conversion that initiated Late Cretaceous strengthened during Early Miocene due to collision Arabian Eurasian plates. To assess activities area, we have analyzed geomorphic indices: stream-gradient index (SL), drainage asymmetry (Af), hypsometric integral (Hi), valley floor width-valley height ratio (Vf), shape (Bs) sinuosity (Smf). These indices were combined yield relative tectonics (Iat) using geographic information (GIS). Based on Iat values, study was divided into four parts: Class 1 (very activity, 11.5% area); 2 (high, 27.7%); 3 (moderate, 23.4%), 4 (low, 37.4%). results are consistent with field observations landforms regions activity mostly correspond mountain front faults at northern part area. plain west show lowest (class 4).
