Zeatin Metabolism in Fruits of Phaseolus: Comparison between Embryos, Seedcoat, and Pod Tissues

摘要: Zeatin metabolites were isolated from seedcoats and pod tissues of Phaseolus vulgaris P. lunatus. The differences observed previously between lunatus embryos, i.e. the formation O-ribosyl derivatives in former O-glucosyl latter, could also be detected seedcoats, although levels these much lower there was a concomitant increase breakdown products (adenine, adenosine AMP). Inner wall both genotypes metabolized zeatin at slow rate major metabolite mononucleotide zeatin. array recovered not influenced by extraction method (cold ethanol or modified Bieleski solution).
