摘要: During 2010-2012 the strain composition of influenza vaccine in Southern Hemisphere did not change, but circulating virus type/subtype did. We pooled data for these years from Western Australian sentinel medical practice surveillance system to estimate effectiveness (VE) by type and subtype. A case test-negative design was used with VE estimated as (1-odds ratio)×100%. There were 2182 patients included analysis across 3 studied. The predominant subtype A/H1pdm09 2010 2011, A/H3 2012. overall adjusted against all 51% (95% CI: 36, 63). Estimates highest at 74% 47, 87), followed 56% 33, 71) B lowest 39% 13, 57). When analyses restricted compare influenza-positive who tested positive a non-influenza virus, 59% 39, 72). These results suggest moderate protection vaccination Australia over period 2010-2012, are consistent findings other settings.
