摘要: Over the past two decades, it has become well accepted that sepsis exhibits two, oftentimes concomitant, inflammatory stages; a pro-inflammatory phase, referred to as systemic response syndrome (SIRS), and an anti-inflammatory called compensatory (CARS). Considering therapeutic interventions designed attenuate septic have generally failed, much recent research gone into understanding how why patients display immunosuppressive characteristics, what significance of immunosuppression may be if there exists any targets within CARS. Herein, we describe potential mechanisms immunosuppressive/CARS phase by discussing agents, receptors cell populations are currently believed contribute
