摘要: Age-related differences in energy expenditure, fat oxidation, and norepinephrine (NE) kinetics after caffeine ingestion were examined using a placebo-controlled double-blind study 10 older (O, 65-80 yr) younger (Y, 19-26 men who moderate consumers of caffeine. Caffeine resulted similar increases Y O for plasma levels (Y = 89 +/- 100 to 6,340 1,938 ng/ml, P < 0.05; 124 38 7,066 2,366 0.05) expenditure 11%, 1.38 0.15 1.52 0.22 kcal/min, 9.5%, 1.15 0.13 1.26 0.20 0.05). However, increased fatty acid concentrations (362 159 803 253 mumol/l, tended increase rate appearance acids (624 376 1,394 1,331 0.07) but not men. Rates oxidation NE clearance did significantly differ from baseline values either group. In conclusion, show thermogenic response ingestion, whereas smaller availability challenge. These metabolic are related alterations or oxidation.
