摘要: Abstract Oxide–oxide laminated composites with aluminum phosphate (AlPO 4 ) and alumina platelets as crack deflecting interphases were developed by the tape casting method. Dense bodies of Al 2 O 3 , mullite, 50 vol% ·50 vol% YAG in situ composite, 3Y-TZP sintered characterized. Tape formulations for different oxides solid contents 25.1 30 vol%, respectively, developed. XRD indicated compatibility between alumina, zirconia AlPO . Laminated, matrix-interphase composite systems consisting –AlPO mullite-AlPO composite-AlPO composite-alumina made. The matrix-alumina platelet showed ‘quasi-elastic’ load–displacement behavior under conditions fabrication, had a 3-point bending strength work fracture 188±8 MPa 0.65±0.02 kJ/m respectively. 3Y-TZP–AlPO could not be made because delamination due to thermal expansion mismatch.
