摘要: Commensal microbiota has emerged as an important biomarker and regulator of both tumorigenesis response to cancer therapy. Yet our current knowledge about in been largely limited intestinal microbiota. As a mucosal organ harboring one the largest surface areas body, lung is exposed variety microbes through inhalation micro-aspiration, it colonized by diverse bacterial community physiological pathological conditions. Importantly, increasing evidence linked microbiome development. Studies patients mouse models have revealed tumor-associated dysregulation local lung, which turn impacts progression shaping tumor microenvironment modulating activity tumor-infiltrating immune cells. These findings not only provide novel mechanistic insight biology cancer, but they also shed light on new therapeutic targets strategies for prevention treatment. The goal this review summarize key field, discuss remaining questions future directions.
